If sharepoint then filtering dates using the > or < operators will not work.
The ugly workaround (which will only query the first 500 records) is to filter in PowerApps with this:
Filter(MyTable, Value(Text(MyDateColumn, "yyyymmdd"))<=Value(Text(MyDateExpression, "yyyymmdd")))
If you want to filter on dates saved as strings, you can use the function DateValue:
SortByColumns(Filter ('title', StartsWith(Title, TextSearchBox1.Text ) && DateValue(Created) > Now()), "Created", If(SortDescending1,Ascending , Descending))
I use that successfully in a few places.
