signature and person details

I created a visitor application where one needs to enter his details and a signiture. These are all going into SharePoint even the signature image. What I want to know is how can I make sure that a particular signature is of a particular entry row in SharePoint ?

Thanks

How are you keeping the signature?  Are yu just saving as a image file or as an attachment to the individual or as image data within an text multi line column but still against the individual?

I have a Tool Loan app.  I capture the signature of individuals against their row in SP within a multi line text column.  When I bring it back into the app it shows the signature.  If I want it as an email,  I build a HTML table and send it with the image.

The signature pictures are saved in a different folder

Have you thought of adding these images to the attachments column of the visitor rows in your Sharepoint list?

That would be good too ! How can I do that please ?

The only issue with Rebecca's video is teh Populating a word template is Premium License so you may want to really study Shae Young.  There are quite a few video's on YouTube.  Paul Culmsee Channel is also good.

Hi @roncam ,

Firstly, I don’ t normally “jump in”unless I have something to offer and you already have a number of competent advisors.

I have a process that stores signatures from pen inputs on IPads, stores them as JPGs in a SharePoint Document library and then does a couple of things including displaying them on the main edit screen with the ability to update them and incorporating them in a HTML template that is able to be PDF’d and emailed as an attachment. The necessity came from needing permission forms signed in the field and immediately emailed to the customer.

The HTML solution was also motivated by the Premium Connector needed for the Word template mentioned by @leyburn19 (however there is a workaround on this using QuickParts, but is more work than the HTML).

I don’t know how much of this is useful to you, however if you want more details, I am happy to share them. Note that this is not a simple process and runs from a fairly complex Flow and some HTML.

Let me know if you want to proceed further down this path.

I managed to get the image data into a column in SharePoint . "data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAA...............". Can you tell me if a can format the column to show the image and when clicked it will open the image?

thanks

regards

Hi @roncam ,

Quite coincidently, I posted this article yesterday for @CliveMM .

Please have a read and let me one any further questions. You were on the right track with the string. Did you use the JSON function for this?
