something has broken all my apps

bit of an urgent one...

Something must have changed or been updated in the last 24 hours as I use the below component in all my apps and they all display the same error, most of them haven't been edited for a few weeks and were working yesterday.

What is DataSource defined as in your component?  That would have the record signature that is needed.  It must match the one you are providing.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Thank you! that looks like the problem. The data source is blank. I've changed it back to 'Menu' and it works 🙂

This has happened for over 30 apps, despite none of them being edited..

@n1ckmuk

The DataSource of your component should not be Menu.  That could be the source of your issue.

It should be a Table with records that provide the schema of your Property.

Based on the collection you have (and I'd recommend setting a variable to your table instead of a heavy-weight collection - Set(Menu, Table({title : "Finance", ...) ) your DataSource property on the component should be set to:

Table({title: "SampleText", MenuIcon: Icon.Add, screen: App.ActiveScreen})

thanks @RandyHayes.

I've changed the datasource in the component to the schema you provided.

That is good!  Yes, you must provide a default value for every property of your component.  This should not be connected to anything in your current app (even though the designer lets you do so).  If should define (especially for table type properties) the schema and default values.

During the component design, you can adjust that to add various testing data and even data directly from your app, but when you are done testing, it should be set back to a generic schema with generic values.

Glad it worked for you...and hopefully you'll not see this happen again.

Thanks - that was not clear to me until a read your explanation.  The datasource in my powerapp was empty and therefore could not understand the incoming structure.  It was working and then stopped strangely.
