splitting dropdown value and saving it as time value

Hi,

I'm having a dropdown value. which is having time values as 5:00 A.M, 6:30 P.M, 8:10 P.M

my intention is to hide the hours and minutes field from user and show this dropdown and on submit i want to save this values to the backend date and time column field. if user comes and selects 29th oct and 6:30 P.M on submit the date and time value has to be saved

Hi @Krishna98 ,

Do you mean:
1)you have a datetime field with date and time value;

2)you want to only display date value in the drop down;

3)you want to update with the selected date (from drop down) and the updated time to this field?

If so, you could set like this:
1)the dropdown's Items:

AddColumns(fruit11111,"dateonly",Text(Created,DateTimeFormat.ShortDate))

//fruit11111 is my list name, Created is my datetime field; choose dateonly field for the drop down's Value

2)use this formula to update this field:

DateTimeValue(Text(Dropdown1.Selected.dateonly)&" "&Text(Now(),DateTimeFormat.ShortTime))

//this is date time value
