update a line item in excel

I have a form that has three questions- Name, Age, Hometown. User fills out information for each using a form on powerapp. My question is this- if we want to fill out name and age and then come back several days later and fill out the hometown information for that line is that possible?

Hi@HubSteel,

Based on the needs that you mentioned, do you want to create a flag for previously incomplete fields?

Combine that with the details you provided, you have an excel sheet as the

data source, I have a test on my side on this premise, please take a try as below.

• Create an app from the excel data

• Set the Text property of the TextInput corresponding to Hometown field as:

If(!IsBlank(ThisItem.Hometown),ThisItem.Hometown,"Please fill in")

Hi @HubSteel

The answer is yes.  Annotation 2020-06-06 124929.jpgLet PowerApps create an app from your data and see how it works.

That is possible. What you need to do is to have Form with the 3 textfields on NewForm.

Save the 2 fields using the the Submit Button.

Insert Gallery1 and put the datasource on the ITEMS of the Gallery1

On the ITEMS of the Form put: Gallery1.Selected

Insert another button for Edit and OnSelect put: EditForm

Whenever you want to update the hometown or another field, click on the Edit button, which will pull the existing record

Then add the hometome for that line ans submit form again to update the field for that record------------
