Ability to build Customer facing application

Hello,

When I look at the features of Powerapps, it always talk about applications used by internal employees . Are we able to build a Customer/public facing application using Powerapps  or is this for internal use only?

Thanks,

Jay

Hi @jmtoronto

PowerApps isn't particularly suitable for customer/public facing applications because each user needs to log on with a Microsoft Work Account, and also belong to the same organization as you (the app builder).

Re: Ability to build Customer facing application

Hi @jmtoronto,

This is not currently supported, although I am holding thumbs that this will become a feature in the not too distant future. MS Teams was also just available internally but is now shareable to external Microsoft accounts.

Depending on the app, creating a external BOT might be a good way for external entities to interact with, while the heavy forms and lifting is done internally with PowerApps. We have been able to do this very successfully with Business Process Management engines like agilite.io, which can be used to BPM enable the BOT and PowerApps, using exactly the same BPM process.
