Automatically save date/time and current user

I have an add/edit form in my power app. When a user edits or adds a new product I want to save the current data/time and who the user is. I have columns for this already in my underlying excel table. How can I save on submit? Thanks!

With the PowerApps User Function. Smiley Happy

User().FullName and Now() Should get you started.

Re: Automatically save date/time and current user

Thanks. The thing is though I'd like none of this to be visible to the user. Basically on form submission it would save these 2 items to pre-existing columns.

Sorry, I'm coming from a .NET background so this type of development is new to me. I'm looking for the function to override, etc... which I know is wrong. lol

Re: Automatically save date/time and current user

The way I do it is leave your form as is. Submit the form. Then after that is done Patch the two records with the functions from above. This may be video worthy. Let's see if I can quickly put together a demo with the answer for you. Bonus shoutout in the video also.
