Bug: Combo box not saving cleared value

I have an edit form connected to a SharePoint list with both single select choice and managed metadata fields. If the fields already have values, i can't remove the values. The controls will clear out the values, but after saving the old values are still in the fields.

I can reproduce it on edit form cards that haven't been customized.

Re: Bug: Combo box not saving cleared value

Hi @stick97 ,

Could you please share more details of your metadata fields and the controls' formula expression in your Edit Form?

I test on my side, and it saves OK.The test as following.

Data Source: Test(Metadata type)

20190424MetadataTest1.PNG

App test:

Form1.Data Source:'20190418Metadata'

Form1.Items:Gallery1.Selected

20190424MetaDataTest2.PNG

Result Check:

Hope this could be helpful.

Best Regards.

Re: Bug: Combo box not saving cleared value

It doesn't look like you saved after deleting the value from the 'Test' field. You deleted the value, set a different value, then saved. Can you try deleting the value, then saving?

EditForm1.DataSource: Testing

EditForm1.Item: BrowseGallery1.Selected

Fields:

I'm also not seeing the value updated in SharePoint.

Also, in case you're wondering, the code for the save button on the edit screen is SubmitForm(EditForm1).

Re: Bug: Combo box not saving cleared value

@v-yuxima-msftI just found out this seems to be happening with Text Input fields, as well. At least those with the format set to number.
