Can I save data like Master-Child relationship using SharePoint Lists with PowerApps?

I working on powerapp application to single sharepoint list. Now I need to add child sharepoint lists to existing sharepoint list and save data to Master list and child lists. Is it possible to do with PowerApps?

I have Project and Task SharePoint List as Master List and Mile Stone SharePoint List and Issues SharePoint List as child lists with Master List ID as look up field.

Now I want to save data if I save Master list and childlists same time and Read samething. Can some gurus explain how to works? Any video or documentation on this?

Hi @PowerunAppy,

How annoying!  It was purely unintentional!  Evidently if a : symbol precedes a D character without a space in between, it is automatically converted to a imogi.  I was not aware of that but thanks for the heads up.

guys,

I have these two lists reliacionas of those form ExpenseMaster.ID -> ExpenseDetail.MasterID.

I am creating the following applicationcover.PNG

Master.PNG

I made a form1 as header and a gallery for the repeating items. A collection has been created for use as a gallery database.
My problem is that I am not able to update the EXPENSE.MASTERID field the powerapps informs that the field is not numero.
I'm using this formula in Form1 OnSuccess:

ForAll ( ExpenseCollection; If ( !IsBlank (LineItem); Patch ( ExpenseDetail; Defaults ( ExpenseDetail);{Título:LineItem; ExpenseAmount:LineCost; MasterID:Form1.LastSubmit.ID })))

You can help me, I'm desperate.

Have you checked that the Master Key is set to something when you add the Child record?  I recommend that you put a Label onto the Application where you will see it with a Text Property of ":Form1.LastSubmit.ID" and observe what happens.

@PowerunAppy
I'm not understand the question. "Have you checked that the Master Key is set to something when you add the Child record?" Could exemplar?
Now this recommendation "put a Label onto the Application where you will see it with a Text Property of ": Form1.LastSubmit .ID "" I had already done and it works, but I need it done in the MasterID column because of the other other secondary lookup column.
Do you Know how could I pout I'd information in Lookup column MasterID?

Hi @hiranfilho

In all of my apps in the Edit form,  I put the following formula in the TextInput box Text property for the foreign key.

If(IsBlank(Parent.Default),First(Sort(ParentTable,ID,Descending)).ID+1, Parent.Default)

Then I either disable the card containing this control or hide it so the user cannot alter it.

The IsBlank() tests for the presence of the value in the foreign key field indicating that this is a New record and a value will be assigned to it. Since all records in a child table must have a relationship to the parent, it should never be blank.  If it is not blank, then this is a record being edited and the current value of the foreign field is retained.

The reason for the First(Sort( instead of Max() or Last() is to avoid any possibility that  the number will be incorrect because of delegation issues (Max and Last are not delegatable functions). If there are more than 2000 records in the table, Max() and Last() will give an incorrect value.  First(Sort( should give the correct value even if there are thousands of records.
