I'm using the ClearCollect function to create a new group of collections, from azure sql database, ex:
//Colecciones de datos
On the first run, all work perfectly. But if I need to Refresh or Update a collection using the same expression ClearCollect, the App doesn't do anything, doesn't respond.
Last week everything was working without errors.
The question is: Is an internal problem? Is it a new feature? Has anyone experienced something similar?
Is this code running in the OnStart method? there is an issue that's waiting for a fix.
Thanks, bro. But I know about this issue and I put all my collects in buttons or icons in the OnSelect method.
Is a very strange issue because last week all the app was working perfectly.
There has been some weird issues with PowerApps lately but thankfully they're being fixed.
What about refreshing the datasource just before the ClearCollects?
Thanks, bro. Refresh is a good solution when you have a direct connection to the database, but this usually makes the app very slow (DB write/read). Using collections I improve the App performance but now I have this bug. For now, I'm rewriting all my App (32 screens) using Collec & Patch to solve the problem. I was using ClearCollect because is very fast to update a collection.
We'll still wait for a good solution to those issues.
Turn on the option 'Render in Classic Mode' in the App Setting - Advanced Settings. This wil restore the functionality that you can tricker a toggle control with a global variable, like you're probably doïng.
I escalate this issue with the new User Edit experiance already to the PowerApps team and they are working on a fix.
Meanwhile support my Idea on adding stand alone Functions/methods to PowerApps, so we can call these from everywhere in our app and preform this logic in there. Follow this link Idea - Stand Alone Function/Method
