Customised Form, Dropdown to Combo Box (search)

I have a Venue Directory set up with names of venues as a SharePoint List.

I have a customised form that contains a dropdown that is linked to the Venue Directory SP list:

Items: Sort('Venue Directory'.Title, "Title")

As this list is pretty extensive, I would like to put a search function on the dropdown menu.

I can either change this to a Combo Box function, but I can't seem to work out how to do this. Or I can add in a new Datacard with a Combo Box function and connect it to the data source (again I can't seem to work out how to do this)

Hi @jpacettf,

I would use a textbox and then filter your dropdown based on it's value.

So you create a textbox called txtSearchBox,
..then in your existing venue dropdown, change the items value to:
Sort(Filter('Venue Directory', Startswith(Title, txtSearchBox.Text) ).Title, "Title")

Let me know if this works out for you or if you had another idea in mind Smiley Happy

Cheers,

Hi @jpacettf, If you add a new data card with a Combo Box, it should connect to your data source automatically. The way to add a new data card is via EditForm > Fields > (FieldName) > Edit Selection.

Neither of these solutions worked, but thank you.

I think the problem lies in that the column I am using is a "LookUp" column in itself which is then using another SharePoint list

Hi @jpacettf

My example is setup in the same way as you describe. The 'ProjectManager' field is a lookup columns that points to another SharePoint list. Could you describe in more detail how it doesn't work for you?
