Customize view from code

Hi,

I was working on the model-based application where I have an Entity: Account associated with the Entity: contact associated with Entity: Role.

Is there a way to show the information related to a role, for example, a role name in the view of Account. And is there any way how I can customize view from code.

I read it here (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/customize-entity-forms) but I don't know much on how to code in Model-based application. Can anyone give a step by step process on how to generate view through code and how to get 3rd level look-up in the model-based application? Currently, I can only fetch data from related entity contact but I want information from the role as well.

Re: Customize view from code

Hi @summitb,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Could you please show more details about the code you used to custom your form?

Currently, I am not familiar with customizing entity view forms using code in Model-Driven app.

Please check and see if the following article would help in your scenario:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/use-iframe-and-web-resource-c...

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/customize-entity-views

Best regards,

Kris
