Data not submitting to Sharepoint list

Hello! I have been running into an issue when submitting my form (see picture below). There are no error messages when completing the form, or issues with my app itself. Even though I am inputting information into these fields when filling out the form, my Sharepoint list doesn't populate the data. My app has 2 forms within it and I am using a Patch() function to drive the data to Sharepoint. I attempted to use both Collect() and SubmitForm() without success. Hoping someone can help me with this issue. Thanks!

Re: Data not submitting to Sharepoint list

Hi @nmungal,

Could you please share more details about your Patch formula within your app?

Could you please share a bit more about the FullName column, StoreNumber column and TaskTime column in your SP list?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. On your side, please take a try with the following Patch formula:

Patch(
      "YourSPList",
       Defaults("YourSPList"),
       {
          FullName: DataCardValue1.Text,
          StoreNumber: DataCardValue2.Text,
          TaskTime: DataCardValue3.SelectedDate,
          ...
       }
)

Note: Please make sure you have added the corresponding Required/Mandatory fields of your SP list within your Patch formula.

Please check if you have type proper column names within your Patch formula.

Please consider take a try to re-create your app based on your SP list, then take a try with above Patch formula I provided within your app, check if the issue is solved.

More details about the Patch function, please check the following article:

Patch function

Kris

Re: Data not submitting to Sharepoint list

I can't really solve this without more details, but  I can suggest you add some error handling to your app so you can see what (if any) errors your Patch is causing:

The Errors Function is key to debugging Patch()

I would recommend adding a table (or gallery) and set the Items to equal Errors(SHAREPOINTLISTNAME)

Then try your Patch() and see if any errors populate the table.  You can also store the Errors in a collection or variable and view them under Variables or Collections.

Also, see @CarlosFigueira's solution to Making sure a patch is successful

Good luck,

Jamie
