Re: Dropdown Default when using dynamic Helper Column

One more change to this approach to deal with Refresh which you talked about previously @WillPage .

By having it in the IsVisible event it only triggers when I change Screens (when the Edit or Add is performed on another screen).

I can't trigger it on the current Screen if I choose to delete a record on that Screen (so either the Record Counts in the dynamic dropdown didnt change or if I deleted ALL the records the dropdown would still have it included in the list when it should no longer be present).

To overcome this I :

1. Added a Toggle control and made it NOT visible.

2. Made the Default for this Toggle 'blnTgl'

3. Moved the two UpdateContexts out of the Screen IsVisible event and put them in the Toggle OnChange event instead

UpdateContext({dataEmployee:'The prior Text from DropdownEmployee.Items'});
UpdateContext({dataDate : 'The prior Text from DropdownDate.Items')

 4. Put back in the Screen IsVisible event

UpdateContext({blnTgl:!blnTgl})

Now I have the best of both worlds. It automatically retriggers each time return to this Screen and I can trigger the Refresh event just by using

UpdateContext({blnTgl:!blnTgl})

in any other control when I want to update the data set and I STILL have only one place I have to maintain the source of Items. This fix resolves all my remaining issues for this post Smiley Very Happy
