Embed app on a webpage as demo for anyone

Hello!

I finish my first app and I would like to embed it on a webpage for everyone (all world) to playwith it. Since it is just a demo, people do not include anything oin the database but only consult records from it. Is it possible to do it? the embedded app could have hyperlinks to Microsoft Powerapps official site in case people would like to test it.

Thanks for your help

Other tenants can not access app in different tenant.

However, there is an export/import feature where you can export an app from one tenant and import to another one. So no need to Copy/Paste

Hi @omarsalgado,

So far it is not possible to embed the powerapps to a webpage. You have to use PowerApps webpage to access an app.

Re: Embed app on a webpage as demo for anyone

Thanks Mona....

I found this https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/embed-apps-dev/ that says that it is possible to embed on a web page BUT I cannot find my App ID. Also the article says "Note : Only PowerApps users in the same tenant can access the embedded app." and I do not know what it is mean by "tenant". Any hints?

How can I invite anyone to look at my app... i.e.: sending a weblink to it or similar?

Hi @omarsalgado

App ID:

You can find the App ID in the details page of your app.

Tenants:

PowerApps is connected to your organization. That means that anyone who you want to access PowerApps needs to have a license for it. Most common is the Office 365 Online plan which includes most Microsoft products plus PowerApps. So everyone in your company who has access to Office 365 will have the ability to use your app (assuming in does not use premium connectors). Same goes for the embedded apps. You can embed it in your SharePoint site but if the user does not have license for it or access he/she will not be able to open it.

Sharing with everyone:

This is not supported and sending an app link will not work. Only people who are in the same tenant (organziation, company) can access the app if you shared it with them.

What about tenants in other organization...? Let say individuals with an Office 365 license.

Also...

What about you have done an app and what to share it to a different tenant? An option would be to log into the first tenant and copy it and then login to the second tenant and paste it there? I am a training consultant so, usually this type of apps are for training purposes.

I understand that Microsoft want to make money so other options are paying a fee monthly during the time you what anyone access your app or paying a fee to transfer your apps to other tenants. In my opinion as popular as power apps become as better business it becomes.
