Field as part of a Hyperlink

Is there a special method of formatting a hyperlink to include a field as part of the link?

In other words, can you do something like this?

"https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=[latlong]&zoom=18&size=600x600&key=B2zaSyCsIp-gVr7aaH98n21tEBtYq43fY&markers=color:red%7Clabel:A%7C[latlong]"

 (google dev code intentionally polluted)

That was my best guess at the format....

ok - we figured out the required characters to string it together.

"https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=" &  LatLong & "&zoom=18&size=600x600&key=BynmlPoxagVr123456tEBtYh_YThnksqNbY&markers=color:red%7Clabel:A%7C" &  LatLong & ""

Re: Field as part of a Hyperlink

Hi @CivilNJ

As my experience and actuall application months ago, yes it definitely can.

You [latlong] can be replaced by:

- TextInput.Text (if you manually key in), or

- Label.Text (is the data is generated from Location.Longitude, and Location.Latitude which is automatically generated]

Hope this helps.

Re: Field as part of a Hyperlink

There must be some kind of delimeter between the URL and field like '&' or something???  In other words, how do you concatenate the strings?  I am pulling it from a TextInput box.

"https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=latlong.Text&zoom=18&size=600x600&key=Byongo-gVr123456_GHWrKqNbY&markers=color:red%7Clabel:A%7Clatlong.text"

This doesn't seem to work.
