Form autofills fields based on previous submissions

I'm working on a Powerapp to log all of the Finance Requests coming to our team. While everything works fine, it would be more efficient if certain fields would autofill depending on previous submissions.

For example, 3 of the fields are:

Contact Name-> Contact Email -> Contact number.

Would it be possible if resuing a name in "Contact Name", it could pull their previously inputted email and number from the Sharepoint list where it was added? This would help cut down on time when putting in requests regularly.

Re: Form autofills fields based on previous submissions

Hi @Issac ,

What is the data source of the current Form?

This can be achieved. For example, use TextInput1 to fill the Contact Name, then set below formulas in TextInput2 and 3 to show record from SharePoint list:

TextInput2.Text=First(Filter(List,ContactName=TextInput1.Text)).ContactEmail
TextInput3.Text=First(Filter(List,ContactName=TextInput1.Text)).ContactNumber

Mona

Re: Form autofills fields based on previous submissions

The source is a sharepoint list where they entries are being added.

Also since this is through a form, I would need to change TextInput to DataCardValue- correct?

Re: Form autofills fields based on previous submissions

Hi @Issac ,

Yes, I'm just assuming the name of the textinput control is "TextInput1". In a form control, textinput controls name could be DataCardValueX.
