HELP! CDM Image field is GONE!!!

The image type for fields in CDM is no longer there.  My entities that I previously made with an "image" field exist, but I can't make new entities with an image field.  My apps are HIGHLY dependent on the image field.  Is this a mistake? Is there another way for me to make an image field?  Can I load images into a "text" field?

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We are working on redesign of the Image type and optimizing its performance. We will add it back soon.

How long will it be before we are able to use the CDM Image Field?

Thanks.

Re: HELP! CDM Image field is GONE!!!

I think I understand the dilemma. I want to write an image to a table and have it associated with data from other fields. However, I also want to view the image external to PA and the datasource--like having a whole folder of images viewable in a file explorer. That would make it easy to copy, paste, move images for other purposes.

I hope that they're working on a solution that can achieve both of those needs.

Re: HELP! CDM Image field is GONE!!!

@mardex,

Confirmed, it is working for AddMediaButton and Camera controls. If you want a picture from a camera control, you will need to collect images to a collection in order to save them to a datasource. You can also set Image1 to Camera1.Photo and save Image1.Image to the datasource.

The camera control is still having issues with orientation, but that's another issue.
