Help: new errror "The collection does not accept items of this type"

Today I came across a new error, simply when doing a collect for an item in a gallery:

ClearCollect(CurrentTransaction, ThisItem)

There is no way that an error should be thrown since the source is a gallery.

Has anyone else come across this?  Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Re: Help: new errror "The collection does not accept items of this type"

Hi @Meneghino,

Which property of what control that the formula is used for (with)?

Besides, would you please share more information about the CurrentTransaction?

Just from the error message, it seems the collection should be pre-defined, which not support all the fields under thisItem.

Per testing, the clearcollect would just collect the corresponding record from my side, with no errors.

And the Onselect property of a Text Label is the only place I used for the collection.

Hi @v-micsh-msft

This error is back! I think it happened following a change in the structure of my data source.

I tired refreshing and it did not work.

I tried to remove the table (Azure SQL DB) and then add it again and also did not help.

I mean that in studio it works for some time and then the error appears and the web version does not work.

Please help as this is stopping any work getting done.

We are having the same issue. We also recently changed our data source (added a field to the excel spreadsheet).

Yes I am getting the same error.

I changed the data collection field and what previously worked is now not working.

The function is: Collect([@TeamTitle],{Name:TeamTitle,Nominees:NomineeNames,Subgroup:'CM Sub Group',Value:Bold} )
; Navigate([@'Thank You for Voting'], ScreenTransition.Fade)

This is for a voting app.

Thanks.
