Help with Custom Connector using NoAuth instead of API key for Bots

Anyone have any advice on how to adapt this post regarding AI bots (https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/powerappsbot/) to use No Auth so that users don't have to enter in the API key when they first connect?

Keep getting a 401 auth key invalid error even though I am using the correct one.

Thanks!

Re: Help with Custom Connector using NoAuth instead of API key for Bots

Hi MAV_CB,

It should be a default behavior that shared users have to create their own connection the first time they open the shared app on their side.

Please check this documentation about “Share app resources” for a reference:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/share-app-resources/

From this doc we know that when you share an app that uses a custom connector, it is automatically shared, but users must create their own connections to it.

Best regards,

Re: Help with Custom Connector using NoAuth instead of API key for Bots

Right, but my question is more about how to use the "No Auth" security. I am following the example in this blog post, and they use an API key as part of the authentication requirement. When I test this with users, they are all required to enter in the API key which I do not want to expose to them. Ideally it would be "No Auth" security so would like to get help in that.
