Help with Offiline Application

I am working on my first offline application and trying to find answers for some of my queries.

I am building this app to save data on a SharePoint list and some of the issues I am facing with offline functionality are-

1) I am not able to populate dropdown values, when application is not connected, the values are coming from sharepoint list (choices).Is there any way to solve this issue ?

2) I want to add data located in collection to the SharePoint list on its own, once the user device has internet access, Is there a way I can do it without waiting for the user to re-open the app again ?

Thanks in Advance,

Shay

Re: Help with Offiline Application

Hi @Shay ,

1) This is expected behavior when working with offline mode app for SharePoint list. To workaround this issue, please change the formula in Items property of your dropdown control to:

["Option1","Option2","Option3"]

Option1/2/3 is the options of your choice columns. Then use the Patch function to update SharePoint.

The formula for choice column within Patch function should be something like:

ChoiceField: {    '@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedReference", Value: DropDownControl.Selected.Value, Id: 1 }

For more detailed information, please follow below blog:

2) Sorry so far this cannot be achieved.

Mona
