Highlight the field background to red in Model Driven Form

I  have one clarification on the Form Field conditional formatting ( In Model Driven Apps) . I have designed one form in a entity and i have an requirement as based on the field value i need to change its background? Is it possible ? if yes then can you show some sample article or way do that ? I saw the business rules and i can able to throw error when the value is higher that 50 but my case is i just need to give some hightlight or back color need to be changed to red to that field alone.

Re: Highlight the field background to red in Model Driven Form

Hi @Dayananthan ,

Do you want to change field's background based on its value?

I'm afraid it's not supported in model driven app currently.

For now, you could only make these costomization about UI:

  • Change product logos and navigation colors to create product branding

  • Adjust accent colors, such as hover or selection colors

  • Provide entity-specific coloring

  • Logo

  • Logo tooltip

  • Navigation bar color

  • Navigation bar shelf color

  • Main command bar color on the Unified Interface

  • Header color

  • Global link color

  • Selected link effect

  • Hover link effect

  • Legacy accent color (primary background for process controls)

  • Default entity color

  • Default custom entity color

  • Control shade

  • Control border

Changing field's bacground based on value is not included.

What you are talking about could make in canvas app.

In canvas app, you have more freedom about customizing the app.

Here's a doc about how to change field's bacground based on value in canvas app for  your reference:

Thank you. So the things which you mentioned about changing the logo and all will be done in Themes customization rite? If yes Model Driven will support theme ?. @v-yutliu-msft

Hope in future Microsoft will consider the field color background change based on business rules. Thank you for your time and support.
