How do I make a field in a SharePoint list available to PA and delete a field on a SharePoint List

I have created a SharePoint list called Contacts. In it I have the fields Alias, Email Address, UserType, and PIN. When I used it as a source for a PA the field Alias did not appear, so I renamed the field Disused (because I couldn't delete it) and created a new field called Alias. I linked my control to that field and my PA ran. Then I closed PA, reopened and now that Alias field and the Disused fields are not available to the control even though they are on the Sharepoint List. What am I doing wrong?

Re: How do I make a field in a SharePoint list available to PA and delete a field on a SharePoint Li

Hi @paNewby,

I just created a testing Custom List, and the Alias field could be displayed at my side.

Please verify if there is hided datacard that could be seens from the Display or Edit form screen, if not, then please share teh Alias field details, I will then take another test on this.

Re: How do I make a field in a SharePoint list available to PA and delete a field on a SharePoint Li

Hi Michael, the Alias field was visible on the login form as well as the datacard form when I created it but it has since disappeared from both. I  see you're part of the community support Team. The data I have loaded in the tables at the moment is not live, it is just test data so if it is easier, is there a way I can make it available to you to look at? It may only take you 2 seconds then to see what's wrong.

Re: How do I make a field in a SharePoint list available to PA and delete a field on a SharePoint Li

Hi @paNewby,

Thanks for the update.

Please take a try to refresh your datasource, if the Alias field is added after the App created, then it would need to refresh the data source to have the field to display.

We have a similar issue about SharePoint list field not display reported from our side, and a fix is on the way.

Regards,

Michael

Re: How do I make a field in a SharePoint list available to PA and delete a field on a SharePoint Li

Hi Michael,

Afraid not. Tried to reload and refresh several times. It worked when I first created the field but next time I loaded it had disappeared. It's still gone (i.e. not available). I think the other table has now lost two other fields too
