Patch function with Dynamics 365 in shared app

My app which helps with record creation in Dynamics 365 uses multiple patch functions to create a record and add notes to it. The problem I am getting is that I have shared my app with other users in my organization, and the records they create using the app are appearing to have been created by me. Is there a way to fix this that I am not seeing?

Re: Patch function with Dynamics 365 in shared app

Hi @wardcollins91 ,

Do the end users have access permission to your D365 Entity?

Which app permission do you assign to your end users? Users permission or Co-Owner poermission?

Further, could you please share a bit more about the Patch formula used in your app?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned.

Please check if the end users have appropriate permission to your D365 Entity.

When the end users to run the shared app, it would be prompt to provide their credentials to create a connection to the data source (e.g. D365 Entity) you added within this app. Please check if the end users provide their credentials rather than yours to connect to the data source you added within this shared app.

Note: Actually, the D365 CRM Entity is based on the CDS Entities within the corresponding PowerApps Environment (your D365 instance related to). Also please make sure the end users have enough permission to access the CDS Entities within the corrsponding PowerApps environment.

If the issue still exists, please consisder re-share your app to your end users, then ask them to provide their credentials to connect to the data source used in your app, then run the Patch function again, check if the issue is solved.
