Patch then navigate

Hi folks,

I use Patch on the submit-button of an edit form. Right after the patch, a navigation event is supposed to happen.

Basically:

Patch(Stuff to be patched);Navigate(Screen to be navigated to)

This is not what happens, though. The patch works and the data is commited to my datasource, but the navigate never happens - the app just stays on the current screen (the one with the edit form).

Does anyone have an idea what that could be?

Re: Patch then navigate

I think you are missing a semicolon (need to use 2), it should be:

Patch(what you want to patch);;Navigate(where you wanna go)

Re: Patch then navigate

Here is what I have working in my app. Not 100% sure what you have going on but maybe try adding the screen transition.

Patch(SharePointList,CurrentSelectedItem, {

   //Stuff to patch

});

Navigate( Dashboard, ScreenTransition.Fade )

Re: Patch then navigate

Thanks for taking a swing at it, but the transition didn't change anything Smiley Indifferent

Re: Patch then navigate

Two semicolons. I would never have thought of that!
Found this post on the topic, too:
