PowerApp updating excel tabel makes another table referencing static/updated values empty

Hi,

I have created a PowerApp to update an excel file table (static) stored on OneDrive for Business (waiting for Teams as data source), where in the same excel file on another worksheet I have another table getting the updated values by simple ='worksheet1'!A1 reference.

When I update a value from Power App it is saved ok to static data table in worksheet1
but the 2nd worksheet where the data should be updated via formula, gets suddenly all fields referencing worksheet1 empty.

Did anyone encounter such an issue? How to tackle it?

Hi @KI ,

I have made a test on my side, and have the same issue with you. This may be caused by excel's reference mechanism.

However, the work around is also simple, just double-clicking on any cell  that contains reference formulas, then the worksheet would regenerate the reference value automatically.

Best regards,

Sik

Re: PowerApp updating excel tabel makes another table referencing static/updated values empty

Hi Sik,

thanks a lot for reaching out.

I also have been able to find the workaround but it does not do the trick unfortunately, as the whole idea is to have the system fully automated.

There's a flow running on the updated data that produces a report and sends it via mail. It makes no sens to go to excel and click it while You are mobile.

Are You aware of any flow action that would do the trick as the workaround?
