Powerapps does not recognize required fields in a sharepoint form.

Hi ,

I created a custom list form using powerapps. After i created the form , i went into the list and made a couple of columns required.  Powerapps did not pick up on this change. Even after i refreshed the datasource powerapps still did not make the fields requiired.

I even removed the fields from the form and readded them. powerapps still did not make the fields requiired.

I had to go in and manually mark the cards as required.

Is this a known bug? Where do we report issues?

Re: Powerapps does not recognize required fields in a sharepoint form.

Hi @RussellGove,

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The screenshot as below:28.JPG

Please check if you have enabled the "Require that this column contains information" option for those columns (that you want to be Required) in your SharePoint list.

In addition, please take a try to re-create a PowerApps app and add the SP list as a data source within your PowerApps app, or remove the SP list data source from your PowerApps app and re-add it, then check if the issue is solved.

I have made a test, if you went into the list and made a couple of columns required after you created the form, refreshing datasource within your PowerApps app could not make the required fields show up. You must re-create your PowerApps app and then add the SP list as data source, or remove the SP list data source from your PowerApps app and re-add it, to make the required fields show up.
