Searching items in Parent.AllowedValues from CDS picklists

So, I have a long drop down list that i want to search that is populated from a picklist that i have created in the MS Common Data Service. The table I am saving to auto populates the data cards with Parent.AllowedValues (from the picklist). I was curious if it was possible to search these options and if not, is there another way i can do that?

Re: Searching items in Parent.AllowedValues from CDS picklists

Hi Amorrow5757,

Do you want to populate a Dropdown list with the CDS Picklist value?

Do you want to search items when a value is equal to Parent.AllowedValues(from the picklist)?

If yes, please try to add a Dropdown control, and set its Items property looks like: Search(Entity1,"Inactive","picklist"). Then the items that have “Inactive” status in the Picklist would be shown on the Dropdown control.

If I misunderstand you, please feel free correct me and post back if you need more help.

Best regards,
Mabel Mao
