Specify an item to populate Edit Form

Hi,

I've been selecting the items for edit form by having a separate gallery and in the edit form item property I put Gallery.Selected.

Now I dont want to have a gallery at all , but instead I want to select a form based on a control e.g. dropdown.

Is this possible at all?

What are the other options of how to specify a form except that cumbersome Gallery.Selected?

Thank you,

Re: Specify an item to populate Edit Form

Hi @shimauk

Yes this is very possible. What is important to remember is that the gallery.Selected returns a record object. You should be able to  do the same with having a drop down of record ids for an example, then in the form item you do the following to connect to a record object.

Lookup(datasource, ID=dropdown.Selected.ID)

Let me know if you don't come right.
