Value being calculated by Sum function isn't appearing in actual SPO list column

Hi all,

I'm running into an issue where a value that is being calculated by the Sum function in my PowerApps form on a SharePoint Online list is showing up when editing the form, but not showing up in the actual list column. I'll upload some screenshots to demonstrate:

As you can see above, the "Total Hours Worked' column correctly sums up when I edit the list item.

However, when I view the SPO list itself (without editing the item), here's what appears:

You'll notice that the sum isn't being displayed.

I must be missing something incredibly obviously here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Value being calculated by Sum function isn't appearing in actual SPO list column

Okay, I figured it out!

I changed the properties to Default = Text(Sum(DataCardValue1,DataCardValue2,DataCardValue3,etcetc))

And that summed up all the referenced fields, and saved it into the appropriate column in SPO. Smiley Happy Happy!

What type of field is "Total Hours worked" in SharePoint? It is my understanding that calculated fields in SharePoint are view only in PowerApps, so how are you getting the field to calculate in PowerApps when updating the form?

Re: Value being calculated by Sum function isn't appearing in actual SPO list column

It's a Number field, in SharePoint. I'm using the Sum(DataCardValue1,DataCardValue2,DataCardValue3,DataCardValue4,DataCardValue5) string in the Default property for the Total Hours Worked field in PowerApps.

I just can't get it to actually save that calculated number back to the SPO list item.
