using the Attachments card on a mobile phone (cellphone)

Hi

I have a very simple PowerApp which has a Attachments Card.

On my laptop I can navigate to my One-Drive and add a file as an attachment successfully.

If I repeat the experiment on my cellphone, I navigate to my One Drive which is synced with my laptop and I get the error "Something Went Wrong".

Anybody any ideas what the underlying problem is ?

Thanks

Nigel

Re: using the Attachments card on a mobile phone (cellphone)

Hi @NigelP,

Could you please share more details about the error within your app?

Do you want to upload a attachment file to your SP list item using the Attachments control wihtin your app?

Which mobile device do you use? iOS device or Android device?

Please check if the version of PowerApps Mobile App within your mobile device is the latest version, if not, please upgrade it to the latest version, then check if the issue is solved.

If the issue still exists, you could consider take a try to download the file into your local device fro your OneDrive, and then add it as a attached file using Attachments control within your app.

Best regards,

Kris

Re: using the Attachments card on a mobile phone (cellphone)

Hi @v-xida-msft

I enclose screenshots of the error as requested.

The Phone is a Samsung S9+ using Android Operating system.

Both Phone and PowerApps are up to date.

Do you want to upload a attachment file to your SP list item using the Attachments control wihtin your app? - Yes

Attaching files which are on the device works. Trying to attach a file that is on my OneDrive account doesn’t work.

Downloading onto the device then uploading is a short term fix we could consider, but it’s would be better if we could select straight from OneDrive folders and attach into the app.

If there is anything else you need, please let me know.

Re: using the Attachments card on a mobile phone (cellphone)

Hi @v-xida-msft

I have now got my opwn tenancy back and working again.

I am the Global administrator on my own tenancy.

I get the same problem (ie I cannot add files from One drive) on my Galaxy S8+

I currently cannot get One-Drive working on my iPad so I cannot test there.

Regards

Nigel

Re: using the Attachments card on a mobile phone (cellphone)

Hi All,

Working on a business app where users need to attach files or images onto SPO.

While attaching files other than images, the app is throwing an error 'Something went wrong' - Only on android devices!! So any kind of file like PDF, Excel, Word, etc. are not getting attached. Only images are attached.

Repeated the same process on Apple devices and the attachment option works fine for any type of file.

Could anyone please point me the known errors, bugs or resolutions for the above problem?
