Getting Information form the common data service with power virtual agent

Hello,

I am trying to use PVA to get a certain field from the CDS. PVA asks the user to input their email, then it calls a flow. When the flow is activated I use the list records action and filter the query by the email.  That part works. When I return the value form the list records it returns value that is not readable.  I am trying to return a certain value back to the power virtual agent and display the exact information form the field. Is there a certain way I can go by doing that?

Great!

Now, I understand your scenario.

So you can create an action inside Power Automate (before Common Data Service action) called Initialize Variable. And select the type "String" and type the name of the variable and the value doesn't need to fill.

After your action called "List records", create a new action called "Apply to each". Select and inside the textbox card insert the "results" or "body" (I don't remember).

Now for each result, your workflow will pass inside this action.

Now, create a new action inside "Apply to each" called "Define variable". Select your variable created and insert the value using your column that you want to show.

And finally, inside your Power Virtual Agents Response action, insert the variable value instead of the "Next link" value.

Hi @Dezjaron ,

Congrats, it's a great integration!

Do you want to return more than one field formatted like a table to PVA?

E.g.:

Field 1Value X
Field 2Value Y
Field 3Value Z

- If yes, you can format values using Markdown inside the Power Automate to format items and send the response to the output parameter (string).
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/approvals-markdown-support#tables

Or do you want to format just one field?

- If yes, can you take some pictures inside your Power Automate to understand the value, format, and fields that you want to show?
