Returning data from our ITSM from bot entered information in Teams

Hi there,

Sorry for the wordy title, just trying to clear with my need.

I am looking at this article which is incredibly helpful, but I am stuck.

I am wanting to collect a few pieces of information in the bot (an incident number to start with) and then via API get that info from our ITSM and return some incident information back to the user.

I have an API key for our ITSM, I can see all the get commands I need to go pull in the information, I am just unclear how to take the variable I store from the bot entry and use that in the API call to then return information back to the Teams channel that this call starts from.

Happy to work through links if people have them to find this information, just can't put all the pieces in place.

Normally you could interact with such an API via a HTTP action in Power Automate flow.


Below is an example of that with a different API.
