Cascading filters to guide foreign key Selection in Model Driven App

Continuing to develop Model Driven Apps...

I have three entities:  Account, Contact and a custom entity of Project.  Project includes two foreign key fields of Account Name and Contact name.  The contact should only come from the chosen Account.

Can I place a business rule on the Project form that filters the available Contact names to only those which are children of the  account name already chosen?

Hi

Take a look at the Related Record Filtering properties of the Contact lookup field. I couldn’t find the official Microsoft documentation but this article will help https://www.arbelatech.com/insights/blog/how-to-filter-lookups-without-custom-code-in-dynamics-365-c...

Hi @ghdunn ,

Based on the needs that you mentioned, I think the "Related Records Filtering" option for the Contact LookUp fields field in your Entity form could achieve your needs.

On your side, please consider edit your Entity form in classic mode. Then double-click the "Sponsor" field to edit properties. Then configure the "Related Records Filtering" option as below:

Please check and see if the following blog would help in your scenario:
