Exporting entities to new environment

Hello,

I was wondering how I can export entities to a new environment.

I did find guidelines here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/administrator/environment-and-tenant-migration

However, the article's directions are pretty unclear and the interface seems to have already changed since the article was posted.

Re: Exporting entities to new environment

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you want to export the CDS Entity from one Environment to another Environment?

I have made a test on my side based on the article that you mentioned, please check the following GIF screenshot as below:Test1.gif

When exporting successfully, the exported solution as below:1.JPG

Note: Before exporting the solution, please make sure that you have published all customizations via clicking the "Publish All Customizations" button as below:2.JPG

Best regards,

Kris

Re: Exporting entities to new environment

I have done this manually by exporting blank Entities then compying "Publishing" their data. This is straight forward for standalone entities and becomes a bit more complicated for relational entities, you then need to make them in the same order as they work. For instance, you move CountryEntity before SupplierEntitiy since SupplierEntity is many-to-one related to CountryEntity.

Lengthy but it works plus I wanted to 'trust' what I was doing.
