Level: Power Up

I'd like to modify field values.

I'm a beginner who just started developing PowerApps.

I am using the CDS, and powerapps to connect D365 .

My PowerApps shows the data in the InventJournalTable.

hi. I'm a beginner who just started powerapps.

I connected PowerApps to D365 through CDS.

Entity : InventoryMovementJournalHeaders

Entity Table : InventJournalTable

Q1.

In My PowerApps, I modified the Description field on the Edit-screen and pressed the (v) button, but the value of the field does not change. What expression should I use for the V button, is it actually changing the value of the table field?

Q2.

In My Power Apps, there is a [post] button. If I click the [post] button, posting the currently selected journal.

The scenario I thought was as follows.

step1. post button click.

step2. call entity or table method(TestPosting) with parameter(JournalId)

step3. run entity or table method then return message (sucess or error)

Can PowerApp directly call the method that exists on an entity or table? If that happens, how do I use the expression?

Q3.

If Q2 is not possible, can you tell me another way? Can you tell me a link with an example that I can follow?

As I searched the internet, it was possible through WepAPI or Flow.

Q4. Is RestAPI and WepAPI different?

Hi @AppsUser1089 ,

How did you create your app? From Home > Start from data > Create > Connect to your entity?
