I want to use the CDS Connector to Populate a Word Template with Option Set Labels

I created a flow to populate a Word template based on data saved in the Common Data Service. I have an entity called "Meeting Attendee" and one of the fields on the entity is an option set for the attendees' role. I can use the CDS connector in flow to get a list of my meeting attendee records but the only dynamic content that shows us is Role Value and when I run the flow it populates the Word template with the option set value rather than the label that I want to show. Is there a simple way to bring the option set label into Flow rather than the value?

Re: I want to use the CDS Connector to Populate a Word Template with Option Set Labels

Hi @scameron1015 ,

Could you please share more details about your scenario?

Do you want to get the Label value (e.g. 'Pending') of the Option Set field rather than the Option Set value (e.g. 886370002) within your flow?

Further, could you please share a screenshot about your flow's configuration?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test, and the issue is confirmed on my side. When you type the 'Role Value' dynamic content within the flow action, it could only return the Option Set value rather than its Label value.

When you review the run history of the "List records" action of CDS in your flow, you will find that the Option Set value and corresponding Label value are both returned:

If you want to achieve the Label value of the Option Set field within your app, please consider take a try with the following workaround:

Within the "Compose" action within the "Apply to each" action, set the Inputs field to following:

item()?['_crba2_approvalstatus_label']

On your side, you should type:

item()?['_prefix_role_label']

Then when you run your flow, the Label value would displayed as below:
