Option Set Columns not working in Canvas Apps?

As part of an ongoing migration from the CDS 1.0 to the new CDS for Apps, I have run into an issue with a form that has 2 Option Set columns.

When adding the columns to the form, I noticed there are two columns per option set:  a 'label' column showing the display name of the option in a drop down, and a 'value' column which takes the numeric representation of that column.

My issue arises when trying to submit a form - the form will error out if either of these columns are empty (required items).   However, selecting an option from the 'label' column does not automatically update the 'value' column with the appropriate number.   This results in a form that will never submit.

Either I'm missing something or this functionality is broken...could someone enlighten me on how to use CDS for Apps Option Set columns within a Canvas App form in PowerApps?

Hey,

You can check the option set values in your CDM.

In the canvas app you can put you're value in the value box by an if structure.

If yes then "number" (see image in attachment).

When you submit your form this suppose to be working.

Hey @PauwelsSven,

Your solution essentially describes what I did as a workaround.
This did work to solve the issue, though I imagine it will cause grief for other less savvy users.

I'm going to mark your answer as the solution.
