Hi @cjbrooks - can you give me some details on your scenario? We're looking at ways to improve interaction with entities, but I'd like to understand how you're trying to present your data that you can't do today. Or is more about using a language you're familiar with?
I'd like to be able to combine data from separate entities into a SQL like view that I can (in current state) export to excel and then add to a Power BI dashboard. Would like in the future to be able to create a view and have Power BI directly read from CDS and not have to go through Excel.
Thats for clarify @cjbrooks - we will have an official post on Monday, but the new CDS for Apps connector is actually released in the latest version of CDS for Apps - so you can connect directly to CDS to build Power BI reports and dashboards. If you download the latest Power BI Desktop, you'll see the connector as "Common Data Service for Apps (Beta)".
I'll be posting more details on the PowerApps blog on Monday.
Hi All - the blog post went out yesterday : https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/cds-for-apps-powerbi/, documentation is also live for the new connector.
