I'm build an app in PowerApps (Model Driven app), and I'm trying to hide the add new record button [+ New] of a sub grid (Related Entity).
In fact, I'm trying to figure out how to hide this button after set the "Status Reason" field (of "children" Entity) to an option (like "finished"), and based on that, a Business Rule process can disable or hide that button.
I that possible to have?
Hi @gilberto00 ，
Do you want to hide the "+ New KPI" button from your Model-Driven form based on the "Status Reason" field value?
If you want to hide the "+ New KPI" button from your Model-Driven form based on the "Status Reason" field value, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently,
If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:
You still have to use the Ribbon Workbench to modify ribbon buttons. It's a bit tedious now, becuase of the new customizations interface, but it still works fine.
Once you install the Ribbon Workbenck solution you can use this URL to go to the legacy customizations screen and from there access the Ribbon Workbench interface: https://<env_name>.crm4.dynamics.com/main.aspx?settingsonly=true
To hide the new button from the subgrid/associated view you can follow the steps from here:
In this example, I just hid the "New Contact" button for the Contact subgrid.
Thanks for your suggestion! It realy worked, but it's not enough for me, because I need to check the valu of the parent Entity.
Scenario: if "Entity01" has a "Status Reason" as "Approved", I cannot add any row at "Entity02". And if I haven't any how before "Approve" a row at "Entity01", I think that I won't be able to use the web resource to get the value and with it, set visible to enable or disable... Am I wrong?
Ah, de documentaion provide seems like old... I wasn't able to complete the "refresh" part.
