Update CDS entity records when updated a record in D365 FinOps by using data integration project

Hello guys,

I've created a entity for project hour journals in CDS, which gets the data from Dynamics 365 F&O by using a data integration project.

The first run takes all records of the entity, but if I change a record (e.g. the description), the data integration project try to create a new record on my CDS entity. It still tells me, that there is already a record with the same value in JournalBatchNumber.

The CDS entity has got  an index, which is the JournalBatchNumber and DataAreaId (same as AX entity JournalTables).

Change tracking for the entity in AX is set for primary table. Also in my CDS entity.

How can I tell CDS or the data integration project that this records aren't new ones, rather they are update of existing records?

Hey guys,

after some time I figured it out.
Apparently, the integration keys were no longer set properly. After they have been reset, the update has worked.
Nevertheless many thanks to you.

Hi @Sommes ,

Could you tell me how do you update data?
By using the patch function or submitform function?

If you use the patch function, modify record and create new record is a little different.

Modify:

Patch(table, the item that you want to modify,{...,...})

Create:

Patch(table,Defaults(table),{...,...})

Here's a doc about it for your reference:
