Using CDS in multiple Tenants

Hi there,

I have some questions in regards to the CDS.

Currently I'm working for company A and we have ambitions to use the CDS for our projects. So we want to create a new database and set up entities within our tenant. Would it be possible to provide this database to our clients (for example company B)? Our clients have their own Office 365 tenants with their own AD etc.

Scenario:

Company A:

- Creates a new database (CDS) within their own tenant

Company B:

- Creates an canvas app (PowerApps) within their own tenant

- The app (PowerApp) accesses data / information from Company A's database (CDS)

- The app (PowerApp) writes data to Company A's database

Would it be possible to realize this scenario?

Is it also right that we have to buy PowerApps Plan 1 (Company B) and PowerApps Plan 2 (Company A) licences for this scenario?

What are the potential pitfalls in regards to this scenario?

Many thanks in advance!

Stef
