I am inspired by @Anonymous to share some templates for humanity. I encourage you to learn about what they are from Keith's own passionate words:

Here's a simple app to start. I encourage you to share your own. Start small and go big! #TemplatesForHumanity
Big idea: You want to know who can help out at an event. In my case, I used this app to get volunteers to proctor an App in a Day. I am repurposing it to get volunteers for any event you host.
See instructions at the bottom for how to import the app and flow.
This would also work well as a Microsoft Form, but I want to get the user's details pre-filled to make it as easy as possible to volunteer. Then I want to pre-fill the events list from a table. In the app, I have it hard-coded OnStart, for ease of sharing, but I encourage you to hook up your own table of events.
On the back end, I have a flow that gets the user's name, email (alias), and selected event. Then I send an email to the event organizers and the user.
I log the volunteer request in a custom CDS entity that I call Proctors. This step can be replaced by writing to your own table.
Please download the zip file. Then follow these steps to import it.
