BadGateway on Excel file

I'm trying to create a Flow to imports tasks from an excel file to planner.

I have created the Flow and placed the file in a document library of a group.

I am able to access the headers etc. in the frile, from the flow editor, men when runing the flow I get a BadGareway error on the "list rows present in table" step.

I do not find much about this error, when searching.

Re: BadGateway on Excel file

Hi @JensSkov,

Where do you place the excel file? A SharePoint library?

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuraton?

Further, could you please show a bit more about the error message?

If you place the excel file into a SharePoint library, I afraid that there is no way to get rows of the table within the Excel file in Microsoft Flow currently.

If you want to get rows of the table within the Excel file, we should use "Get rows" action of Excel connector to retrieve rows from an Excel table, but creating a connection from Excel connector to SharePoint service is not supported in Excel connector of Microsoft Flow currently, we could only create a connection from Excel connector to following services:21.JPG

You could consider take a try to place the Excel file into OneDrive for Business folder, I have placed the Excel file into my OneDrive for Business folder and made a test on my side. Please take a try with the following workaround:

  • Add a proper trigger, here I use Flow Button trigger.
  • Add a "Get rows" action, specify File name and Table name.
  • Add a "Apply to each" action, input parameter set to output of "Get rows" action.
  • Within "Apply to each" action, add a "Create a task" action.

The flow works successfully as below:23.JPG
