Change Azure queue

I was experimenting with using queue storage to link our main Flow to our app service.

 

since i have found no docs on the Azure Queues trigger, when i created the Flow i referenced an Azure Storage account that did not have queues, so the Queue name dropdown returned No items.

I subsequently found an account with existing queues, but when i tried to create a Flow, i was not prompted for the storage account name and key again.

 

how do i manage storage accounts in Flow?

 

how will i now create a new Flow with a different storage account?

 

this may be out of band here, but when i tried to add a queue to the original storage account, the Azure Storage Explorer returned an error. is there some other way to add a queue to an Azure Storage account?

I think I figured this out, but a positive confirmation from msft would be helpful.

 

I went to PowerApps.com and looked at my Connections.

 

There i found a few connections related to Azure Queues, so i deleted all but one. Then I edited the remaining connection where I was able to change the display name of the connection as well as re-enter the new Storage Account Name (using the name of the new storage account i just created in Azure Portal so that i had acces to a Queue Service (the earlier storage account only exposed blob storage)) and Shared Storage Key (taken from the Keys tab on the new Storage account).

 

I wasn't sure this configuration changed anything in Flow designer because i didn't see any queue names prepulated in the Queue name dropdown, so i selected the custom value option and entered the name of the queue (I created using Microsoft Azure Strorage (which opened from the only way in Azure Portal i could find to create a queue: the Open in Explorer option)) i wanted to use.

 

I then posted a message to the new queue in Storage Explorer, added an action to my flow to get an email when the queue had message, and used the message text (a json object) in the email body.

 

Sure enough, when I set the expiration time for the queue message to one minute, as soon as I posted the message to the queue, I saw the Flow run and an email appear.

Hi @mcorning - glad to hear you solved it! If there's an existing connection the Flow designer will automatically pick it up, however you can change or add a new one by selecting the "..." near the operation title. You can also manage all your connections through the connections page under the gear in the top right. Let us know if you hit any other issues!
