I encounter the issue that the Check out or Check out appear the error when Flow connector action, I already do the "discard check out" action to avoid any checkout's document, but still appear the error unaccountable, is there has other action I can run to avoid the strange issue when checkout/checkin action run?
Because I have over 20 Excel documents, I use "Apply to each" to checkout them respectively, also run "add a row into a table" and "checkin connector" use "Apply to each", all documents have placed in SharePoint library and the setting of library is checkout requirement while it open, when my flow running, those document were not editing or open by another user!!
And my flow design is before Excel "add a row into a table" run checkout action, and checkin it after Excel connector finished.
I was trying to way a long time(24hr) to see the system release the lock on the file, restart my PC as well, but no improvement.
The issue display:
Do you have multiple Flows running against the same documents? If you do then I expect the Cancel Checkouts are stepping on other Flows and that is why you are getting the errors.
Hi @Pstork1 ,
Thanks for your response.
I didn't run multiple Flows at the same documents, I just check out each document one by one, and those documents were in the same library, when one document checkout, run "add a row in a table" action, after that run checkin action, then checkout another document, so the checkout process is dependent and no overlap in the same time.
The issue is very weird! Is any solution can cancel all remain connect between user and document, before running the Flow.
If there is only one Flow and that Flow is only checking out one document at a time, then I'm not sure why you are having issues. But at that point your only real solution is to turn off Require Checkout in the document library.
