Condition on form data in using Microsoft Automation

Good Day,

I'm working on a Flow that pulls From data and depending on the answer to a Form question the Form data gets emailed to its cosponsoring group.

I'm a bit new to Flow so I'm not sure if i'm building this Flow the best way so any feedback is welcome.

My issue is the condition, I have the flow getting the response details, then checking one of the response questions (details) looking for specific answers like Yes or No. The issue is the value always returns False so the Flow always goes to NO and ends. Perhaps my  Syntax on the expression is wrong but I have seen examples like mine that say it works by just putting in the expected value like "yes". But I have also seen examples that user the "equals" expression but I cant seem to get the proper syntax.

Here is a screen shot of the flow basically it checks the Form if "yes" send email if "No" go to the next Condition.

When I test the Flow in the Get Response details I see the data in the correct field this is why I assume its something wrong with my condition.

Re: Condition on form data in using Microsoft Automation

Hi @cbayda ,

  • First, you can try to configure the Get response details action by following the screenshot below.
  • Then you can try adding a Compose action to the previous step of the Condition to output the answer to the question and see if its value is as expected.
  • Please also pay attention to the case of the letters. When configuring the answers to the questions in Forms and the parameters in Condition, please be careful not to add extra spaces.
  • Finally, if the question is Choice, don't set it to Multiple answers.

Please check that all of the above items have been met, and then try again.

It is best to reconfigure Flow once following the screenshot below. Please try it many times. I couldn't get the response correctly during the first test. After trying again, the problem was solved.

Re: Condition on form data in using Microsoft Automation

Thank you so much this was perfect explanation of the solution.

The key I think was adding the compose everything jived better once I added that and its working now.

Also the tip on checking the value of the Output was good to as I did find a issue there as well.

Thanks again you are awesome!
