Harvest connector - Create time entry

Hello,

I'm working on this Vacation Approval request flow for my team:

New item in a Sharepoint list  -> Start and wait for an approval (Approvals connector) -> Is yes -> Get user info (Harvest connector)  -> Create time entry (Harvest connector)

Is that a way to calculate the vacation time and get the real dates in the sharepoint list and add a new harvest time entry in the timesheet of the user that made the vacation request? Harvest connector is connected with an admin harvest user.

Thanks!

Re: Harvest connector - Create time entry

Hi @karamos ,

Would you provide the details of the SharePoint list?

Could you provide full screenshoot of Flow configuration?

Vacation time are calculated on an hourly or Date basis? Only through the information you describe, we are hard to provide a suitable workaround.

For the scenario of vacation time, it is very effective to create a Calculated column directly in SharePoint list.

You could try to configure your Flow using Calculated column and Create time entry action provided by Harvest connector.

If you have any questions, please provide more details so that we can build a similar Flow offer to you.

Re: Harvest connector - Create time entry

Thanks for your answer @v-bacao-msft

My Sharepoint list contains 2 date and time columns ( VacationStartDate and VacationEndDate ). Thanks for the input, I'm currently working to get a Calculated column directly in SharePoint list.

You can find a full screen of my flow below, my problem is really how to make the harvest connectors to work.

First, how to enter my VacationStartData and VacationEndDate to get harvest to create a time in the good dates (start and end); And second how to create an entry on behalf of someone else.

More details: you can find my actual configuration on the harvest connectors below. What I'm getting is an only entry in the start date with the amount hours that I forced typed, since I don't have the calculation yet,  and the harvest entry is always under my VacationStartDate it doesn't consider the VacationEndDate. And the Harverst entry is always under my user on harvest, it doesn't considers the user get before in the Get user info (harvest connector before).

Original sharepoint request:

Thanks again if someone have an idea.

Re: Harvest connector - Create time entry

Hello, I'm currently trying input entry to Harvest also, but it always ends with errors 404.

I am administrator of Harvest and I am trying to input new entry just for myself.

Is your flow working when you use it for yourself? (Not on behalf of somebody else?)

Or have you solved the whole issue?

Thx in advance

Hi Matěj,

Yes, my flow is working fine under my user and creating entries to Harvest.  Send me more details of your flow I can try to help you out.

Re: Harvest connector - Create time entry

So I figured out inputs to the harvest for myself, but is there any chance to input entries for others?

It is possible to do it when I have Harvest admin account? Because when I open Harvest I can input entries for everybody...but thru Flow I dont know how to impersonate other users (I am also Global Tenant Admin).

Any ideas?
