Issue creating a share link to one drive

Hi,

trying to do a simple thing: obtaining the link of a file to add it into the link to file option in an approval action

I got the below error:  "The file id is not valid" .. and the file exists and it is valid 🙂

   Edit Mode:

   Execution Mode:

If I select the file directly ( without using variable ) it is working, but of course, this is not usefull for me 🙂

Do you know why this error is raised and how to solve ?

Thanks a lot !

Finally I used "Find files in folder" action to locate the file, after that I put the weburl property on the link item property in the approval action,

Thanks!

Hi @JosePrada,

What’s the previous action of Create share link? Is it action Create file? Could you share a full screenshot of your flow?

According to your description, I created a flow to create share link. I found that when the File box contains a dynamic content, it will return the error message “The file Id is not valid”.

However, if I get the file from a previous action Create file, then it will run successfully.

Flow screenshot likes below:

As a workaround, please try to add an action Create file first, then get the file from the previous action.

Besides, I am afraid the dynamic content in the file name likes what you are using has not been supported yet, if you need this feature, please submit a request on Flow Ideas Forum:

Best regards,

Hi @v-yamao-msft,

unfortunately files are already created, I only need to get the file link and put it into the approval.

Regards

Finally I used "Find files in folder" action to locate the file, after that I put the weburl property on the link item property in the approval action,

Thanks!
