I'm testing the new power query transformation, but I got an error:
The connection requires a gateway
(for sure I have a working one )
I know its a preview feature, but any idea why I got this error?
Please make sure that the version of your gateway is up to date, version could cause problems with your connection.
When configuring, please make sure to use the gateway in the default environment, and choose the one that is expected. Check if it is a normal connection.
Check the port and firewall settings to determine if these limits the use of the gateway. For related documentation, please refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/gateway-reference
I have 2 gateways in cluster mode 1 was updated this week, the second has to be updated but was updated last month. so not so late in the releases.
is it supported with the very latest version only?
I have tested on my side, I updated the version of the gateway to the latest, configured it according to the requirements, and there was the same problem as you.
Maybe this feature is not fully prepared, I will continue to follow up on this issue and feed back to the product team. If there are any updates, I will post back here.
I suffering issue with the gateway in powerapps too.
but not all the environments.
so some env. are working, other are not working.
in microsoft flows the power query is not working at all while the SQL Server get rows task is working.
so not a stable behavior for now.
I have the latest gateways installed as well, as part of a gateway cluster. The connections work fine in Power BI and Power Apps. Also works in Flow when I select the table in the Trigger setting, but when I go to Actions, it says the connection needs a gateway, so something seems broken here. My gateway below shows Flow is working configured properly, as I assumed since I can read and select the tables in our SQL server.
